Apple Updates MacBook and MacBook Pro Laptops

Apple has just updated the specs of their popular MacBook and MacBook Pro series notebooks. The new configuration now include the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, larger hard drives, and bigger RAM (2GB becomes standard option in most models). In addition, MacBook Pro now comes with the latest nVidia graphics engine with up to 512MB of video memory, as well as Apple’s innovative Multi-Touch trackpad from MacBook Air. Moreover, all Mac will now include a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing on-the-go, Apple’s MagSafe Power Adapter that safely disconnects when under strain and built-in 802.11n wireless networking for up to five times the performance and twice the range of 802.11g.

Apple will release Mac Leopard October 26

Leopard (OS X 10.5)will ship on Oct 26th.
New features include:

  • Quick Look, a new feature that lets you see the contents of a file without opening said file
  • Stacks, a new way to access files from the Dock
  • Time Machine backup
  • Redesigned Finder that makes it easier to browse and share files between computers on your home network
  • Updated Mail designs
  • Improved parental controls
  • Boot Camp exits beta
  • Web Clip lets you save web content as Dashboard widgets

Apple announced new Ipod Touch, iPhone similar gadget



I think I must have refreshed engadget like hundred times because these guys are there live at the Apple’s “The Beat Goes On” conference. I’ve been waiting and waiting for Steve to introduce the anticipating new iPod Touch and he did, about 2 hours after introducing some new iPod Nanos, iPod Videos, etc.

iPod Touch

By the look of it, it’s like iPhone, just slimmer. It’s basically an inheritance of iPhone except the phone/text function. It’s got all the touch flipping, images viewing we’ve seen in iPhone. Here’s more inside iPod Touch:
